Dr. David Nguyen
DDS
Dr. Nguyen was born and raised in Fort Worth, Texas. He completed his undergraduate degree at Pensacola Christian College in Pensacola, Florida where he majored in Pre-Medicine. He graduated from Texas A&M University Baylor College of Dentistry in Dallas, Texas in 2013. Since then, Dr. Nguyen has been serving the community of Frisco, and the surrounding areas, and their dental needs. He enjoys getting to know his patients and looks forward to ensuring that they receive exceptional dental care.
Dr. Nguyen and his wife, Sarah, have three children: Katelyn, Savannah, and Adam. When he isn’t practicing dentistry, Dr. Nguyen enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, coaching his son’s baseball team, and serving in the high school and grade school ministries at his church.
Dr. Rachel Moon
DMD
Dr. Moon was born and raised in South Korea, until her family moved to the United States and settled in a small town of Pennsylvania when she was 14 years old. She completed her undergraduate degree at Temple University where she majored in Chemistry and minored in Mathematics, graduating magna cum laude. Dr. Moon received her Doctorate of Medical Dentistry degree from Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry in 2012. While in school, she was a member of the Stomatognathic Honor Society. After practicing dentistry in suburban Pennsylvania for 10 years, Dr. Moon moved to the DFW Metroplex, seeking warmer weather. She is excited to be a part of a great community of Frisco.
Outside of work, Dr. Moon enjoys reading, baking and doing exercises such as yoga and weight lifting. She also loves doing volunteer work and has been involved with mission of mercy in Pennsylvania for years. She hopes to continue volunteering her time for underserved communities in Texas. Currently, Dr. Moon resides in McKinney with her husband, her daughter and the family dog, Lily.
Dr. Stephen Lu
DMD
Dr. Lu grew up in China and moved to Arizona at the age of 15. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Biochemistry from the University of Arizona and his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health.
Dr. Lu entered the dental field because of a deep passion for helping others achieve optimal oral health. He witnessed the healing power of dentistry while participating in a life-transformative dental mission trip to underserved communities in Atoyac, Mexico. His favorite aspect of dentistry is the ability to restore function and aesthetics and to see the positive impact of a healthy smile.
Outside the dental office, Dr. Lu is an avid cook who enjoys experimenting with new recipes and flavors in the kitchen. He also loves traveling, as it allows him to explore new cultures and cuisines, and photography, which enables him to capture and share the beauty of the world around him.
These hobbies not only provide a creative outlet but also inspire his approach to patient care, as he brings the same attention to detail and appreciation for aesthetics to his work in dentistry.
Dr. Chung Heo
DMD
Dr. Heo was born and raised in South Korea before moving to Orlando, Florida, at the age of 13. This transition sparked her interest in diverse cultures and experiences, shaping her approach to both life and dentistry. She pursued her undergraduate studies at the University of Florida, where she earned a degree in Biochemistry with a minor in Classical Studies, laying a strong foundation for her scientific knowledge and analytical skills.
Driven by a passion for oral health and a desire to make a difference, Dr. Heo attended Temple University’s Kornberg School of Dentistry, where she excelled academically and graduated summa cum laude in 2017. Her commitment to excellence in dentistry is matched by her dedication to patient care, focusing on creating positive and comfortable experiences for her patients.
Her journey in dentistry was also complemented by a personal one; she met her husband in dental school, and together they are proud parents to two energetic sons, Myer and Xander.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Heo is an avid home cook who loves experimenting with new recipes and exploring local restaurants to discover and enjoy different cuisines. She deeply values family time, often engaging in activities that bring them closer together, whether it’s a weekend outing or a cozy night in.
Dr. Norman Pomerance
Originally from Detroit, Michigan, Dr. Pomerance earned both his undergraduate degree in Pharmacy and his dental degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor—graduating fifth in his dental class of 150. He went on to complete an intensive, hospital-based General Practice Residency in New York City, where he practiced for two additional years before relocating to Los Angeles. In 1995, he moved to Denton, Texas, which he now proudly calls home.
Dr. Pomerance practices all aspects of dentistry, with a special interest in cosmetic procedures and implants. He is committed to staying current with the latest advancements through annual continuing education and consistently updates his practice with state-of-the-art technology.
He is a Life Member of the American Dental Association, a Texas Dental Society Good Fellow, and an active member of the North Texas and Denton County Dental Societies, as well as the OKU Honorary Dental Fraternity.
Dedicated to community service, Dr. Pomerance has volunteered for numerous programs, including United Way, Success by 6, and the school-based Dental Sealant Program. Since 1996, he has been a member of the Noon Denton Kiwanis Club and has chaired the Children’s Clinic Committee since 1997. Under his leadership, the committee has provided over $160,000 in free medical, dental, mental health, and prescription care for children in Denton County. In recognition of his efforts, he was honored with the Club’s highest award, the Hixson.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Pomerance and his wife Dana are passionate about supporting animal rescue organizations. They share their home in Denton with five dogs, five cats, an aquarium of fish, and a koi pond.
